RED CHAIR

This is a project I've been dying to do.  So I did it.

STEPS:

1- get an old, gross chair from a garage sale for $15

2- Get your friend, Tess, to show you how to strip off the old fabric and keep it intact to use as a pattern latter.  (Be sure to make your fingers bleed from taking out each, individual staple with the correct tools- a flat-head screwdriver and a hammer.)

 3- Get really frustrated at how long this is taking, and how pain staking it is.

4- Get your 3 yr old daughter to help you work, because you can and she will love it.

What step are we on?
5- Buy fabric you like and cut it out against the old shaped fabric you just tore off.
6- Staple it all on in the REVERSE order.  This is very important!
7- Buy cording you like to line chair.  This is getting expensive.  I should've just bought a finished chair on craigslist.  Keep going.  Almost there.

8- finish up and realize that you have no idea how to sew, and that you can't staple the seat cushion on... try to find a friend that could do it... no luck there, so just drape the material over the old cushion for now... and voila!

9- a couple months later find an amazing seamstress from your ward and swap some photoshopping for some sewing and NOW it is done!  Doesn't she look GREAT?  (don't mind the terrible photo.)
