Our Bees

Our Owl's came back this year, but shared their tree hole with a hive of honey bees.  They lasted together for one week.  Then the Bees effectively kicked the owls out.  We liked the bees, but they were getting annoying whenever we'd have a picnics- and also we felt bad for our homeless owls (who relocated to higher branches and now poop ALL OVER OUR BLACK CAR.  So we called the "Bee Man".  He came out and built an "extraction box" to try to lure out the queen.  We're in a bee shortage out here in California... so we didn't want to kill the bees.  Just relocate them.  It was really fascinating to watch!

 It was here for months... but didn't work.  Those bees are tenacious!
